This class will introduce bellydance movement through an exploration of natural shapes and rhythms. Each session beings with a gentle and supportive yoga practice, transitions to basic exercises supporting healthy alignment and posture, and then delves into fundamental movement patterns to familiarize ourselves with bellydance as an art. We build cumulative skills through frequent review sessions, and use them in a combination of individual and group, folkloric and contemporary forms. NO dance experience required.
